West of Lewis (Spiorad na Mara Windfarm) acoustic receivers April-September 2024

Spiorad na Mara Ltd have deployed fish acoustic tagging receivers within the proposed Spiorad na Mara offshore windfarm array area west of Lewis.  The receivers are deployed as per the map and coordinates table in the Notice to Mariners for a period of 5 months. Each receiver and mooring will not extend >3m from the seabed. There are no surface markers whilst the equipment is in situ. Markers will only be deployed when the equipment is to be retrieved and a work vessel is on site to retrieve the equipment. 

All vessels are requested to maintain a safe distance (500 m) from the survey equipment at all times.
