Seabed Surveys, LochEil, LochAline, Caolas Scalpay and Isleornsay, 27/8/2026 to 31/10/2026

Socotec Land & Hydrographic Surveys (on behalf of SHEPD) will be undertaking subsea inspections across the West Highland marine areas: Loch Eil narrows, Loch Aline entrance, Caolas Scalpay and Isleornsay. Inspections will commence 27th August and continue to 31st October 2026.

The vessel conducting the works will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre and will display the appropriate lights and shapes. Other vessels are requested to pass at a safe speed and provide a minimum clearance of 500m (COLREGs Rule 16 & 18) during marine operations. The vessel will monitor VHF Channel 16 throughout survey operations.
