Hydrographic Survey, Loch Gheocrab, Harris March - September 2025

Bakkafrost Scotland (BFS) will be carrying out a Hydrographic survey near the Geocrab shorebase, Loch Beacravik off Loch Gheocrab, Harris. The proposed works are planned to start on 26th February 2026 and will last about 6 months, weather depending. The approximate positions are illustrated on the chart extract in the Notice to Mariners.
The deployment location will be marked by 1 yellow buoy, marked “survey”.
Mariners are requested to navigate with caution in this area.
When operations commence a listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 12 and 16 when within
the appropriate port authority area.
